Rob Edwards and O'Neil Among Wolverhampton Wanderers Head Coach Candidates

Rob Edwards along with Gary O'Neil are two of the early names under consideration to replace the former manager as head coach of Wolves.

Pereira was dismissed on Sunday after the team's ten-game winless start to the Premier League season.

Furthermore both candidates - both of who have previous links to the club - are part of the options to be evaluated by the club leadership.

The manager is currently at Middlesbrough, which would create a possible hurdle to his appointment at Molineux.

However the ex- Luton head coach - who played more than 100 of games for Wolves during his time as a player - is said to be a leading contender for the vacancy.

The mid-career manager is reportedly enjoys support from the club board as they begin the process of hiring a new manager.

Gary O'Neil is additionally appearing as a surprise candidate, even though he would be a shock choice given he was sacked by the club in the previous winter.

The ex- West Ham player is out of work which means the club would not need to pay any buyout fee.
