'Enduring a Horrific Ordeal': Loved Ones of Unaccounted For Teens Await News After Ski Resort Inferno
The relatives of young people lost after a tragic inferno at a venue in a Switzerland's alpine town are confronting an agonising period of uncertainty for answers and appealing for any details about their children publicly.
The blaze ripped through the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the middle of the night of the first day of the year. Confirmed footage depict the roof structure igniting as bottles with sparklers are raised in celebration.
Authorities have stated that it could take an extended period to identify the fatalities of the disaster, which killed 40 people and wounded another 119. Authorities stated on Friday that 113 of the those hurt have been identified, with efforts still underway to locate the remaining few.
