President Trump has declared he is raising import taxes on goods brought in from Canadian sources after the province of Ontario broadcast an anti-import tax ad including ex-President Ronald Reagan.

In a Truth Social post on Saturday, Trump labeled the commercial a "deception" and lashed out at Canada's leaders for not pulling it prior to the baseball championship.

"Because of their major misrepresentation of the truth, and aggressive move, I am increasing the import tax on Canadian goods by 10% over and above what they are paying now," Trump posted.
