American-Palestinian Adolescent Liberated After 270 Days in Israel's Imprisonment

An American-Palestinian adolescent after completing 270 days in imprisonment by Israel without charge gained freedom.

Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 during his detention in February within the occupied West Bank, during a family visit on holiday from Florida under suspicion of rock throwing toward Israeli settlers, claims he consistently denied.

American diplomatic officials applauded the teenager's freedom.

Currently aged sixteen, required hospitalization for treatment immediately after release, family members reported.

Family described him as visibly pale and thin, and is suffering from conditions contracted in captivity.

In a statement, family spokesperson expressed the family's "tremendous relief".

Family member Zeyad Kadur stated the family experienced "surviving a terrible, unending nightmare" over the last nine months.

"Right now, we are focused on getting Mohammed the immediate medical attention he requires after experiencing mistreatment by authorities and cruel circumstances for months."

The state department announced ongoing to offer diplomatic assistance to Mohammed's family.

{"The Trump Administration considers paramount than the safety and security of American nationals"," it added.

Twenty-seven US lawmakers submitted a formal letter to the state department and the administration, demanding more be done for his freedom.

Mohammed's parent, a father-of-four who runs an ice cream business in Florida, previously said his son only confessed to throwing stones because the soldiers beat him.

The father hadn't visited or communicated with his son since the arrest, receiving updates exclusively about his son's condition through judicial records.

Mohammed was held lacking indictment in Ofer prison on the West Bank.

The facility also contains mature inmates, including individuals found guilty for major terrorist activities including killings.

Several lack formal charges while advocacy organizations, as well as the United Nations, report instances of physical abuse and torture.

After the teenager's freedom, family representatives announced they would maintain their efforts demanding accountability for their family member Sayfollah Musallet.

The dual national youth according to health authorities succumbed to assault by settlement residents during a confrontation during summer.

During that period, defense forces stated authorities were looking into information regarding a civilian had been killed.

Mohammed and Sayfollah had worked together in the family ice cream shop based in Florida.

No one has been charged with Sayfollah's killing.

"We anticipate US authorities to safeguard our relatives," Mr Kadur said.
